At the heart of the innovation program is Woodford Special Projects, which was established to encompass a number of existing and embryo businesses as the diversification driver for the Woodford enterprise.

Special Projects is also the commercial and technical research and development unit, undertaking project appraisals and direct research using Woodford personnel and the network of contacts and sponsorships with leading Universities throughout the UK.

Research output benefits the Group as a whole, with studies into green building issues such as energy conservation and low carbon footprint heating/cooling systems among a long list of active projects.
