Grand Designs Live, the celebration of British design and innovation presented by Kevin McCloud will feature Woodford Stainless in the show.
This year sees the show having two main strands; one is the competition to find the Grand Designs Home of the Year, whilst the other turns the tables on Kevin as he aims to build a sustainable home in six days. Woodford Stainless tiles will be used to create a wet room in Kevin's bathroom and will cover two walls and the floor of the room.
The Woodford Stainless system is an innovative design developed to meet the highest standards required from industrial and domestic flooring markets.
The unique cold-rolling and embossing processes create 3D patterns and designs that prove inspirational to all sectors from architects down to the aspiring end user and offer extensive features and uses.
This major TV event which runs from 4-9th May will pay tribute to Britain’s most inspired homes with a nationwide competition to find the Grand Designs Home of the Year. Architect George Clarke, interior designer Naomi Cleaver and homebuilder Janet Street-Porter will battle it out to see their favourites named winner in five different categories and claim a place in the coveted Grand Design Hall of Fame.
Having watched the toil, tears and triumphs of over 50 Grand Designs the tables are finally about to turn for designer and presenter Kevin McCloud as he has just 6 days to build a house, aided by a host of well-known faces. Using cutting edge building techniques, this two-storey design will be testament to Kevin’s vision for living in the most sustainable way possible.
The programme also showcases the design classics no home should be without and an extreme testing strand.
